The phoenix dies

Turns in to ashes

Wanting to rise again

Flooded in its tears

For sorrow at its own fate

The phoenix dies, forever

Revolution

Come

Let us unite

Take up arms

Overthrow the ruling class

Annihilate them

Form our government

People's

Democratic of course

Basking in the sunshine

Of revolution

Then

Appoint leaders

To oversee revolution

Guide the government

Protect

And then

Start again

Come

Let us unite...

Rain

Fall down

On a dry desert

Churning in the heat

Yearning for some comfort

Fall down

On lush green fields

Pleasing to the eye

Helping to remain so

Fall down

On mountains so high

Giving birth to rivulets

Growing as they flow

Fall down not

On the homeless so pitiful

And those rushing for home

After a day so long

Betrayed

Love is a package
Wrapped in possession
Hate and jealousy
All inclusive

He led a nation
To prosperity
Creating human machines
In a concrete jungle

Some thought

Until he fell
On a sickbed
Fighting the inevitable

The machines convened
By their thousands
With prayers, flowers
Love and hope

Proving his machines
Were human
And humane too

The Respite

I have walked
Many a mile in my life
Till the legs are aching
To a point a respite is begging
The young whisk past me
And I don't complain
It is we that raised thee
Not to stop where we did

And top of the mountains
All mine to roam
To roam like a king
