Whiteness out of darkness

Pic by Natalya Sorokina

Out of lonely darkness
And the frightening freezing cold
Falls a million snowflakes
Pristine white and pure

Like the First Love

The First Snow (Natalya Sorokina)

The first snow
Falls out of nowhere
Like the first love

And melts very soon
Leaving the lingering thought
That it was an accident

The Strength of Love

A shrine for love (Pic. MarcBW, Wikimedia Commons)

A poor man
Lost his love
He lamented and lamented
And lamented till he died
Alone
Heartbroken

An Emperor
Lost his love
He lamented and lamented
And built a shrine
So the world could remember his love
And him also

It cost a fortune
And also his crown
Oh, and some workers who worked to death
And the designer who lost his hands

He died in prison
Lamenting for love and lamenting for crown
Alone
Heartbroken

Which love was stronger?
The poor man’s?
The Emperor’s?
Which love was holier?

Correct note, correct time

Pic by Darya Bulavina

All keys have distinct notes
High pitch and also low
Frequency difference
Blending to make a melody

At your fingertips
When you feel the notes
The correct key at correct time
Adding music to life

How much you know the notes
Have to feel it deep within
Correct note, correct time
Pushing, touching one’s own heart

Misplacing the notes
Lands one in a cacophony
Humorous at best
Catastrophic at worse

Hands

Pic by Rukshan Abeywansha

Hands are tools
Unique
Individual
Works in pairs
And singles at times
Probes and explores
Feels
Speaks volumes
About their owner
Creates identity
And always
Leave their prints
